These events are informal, welcoming and non-competitive. There’s no pressure, no pitching, and no judgment.
Who are these networking events for?
Whether you specialise in weddings, portraits, wildlife, commercial, or any other type of photography, you are welcome to join the Photo Marketing Community™ (Dorset), and attend as many of these Dorset photography events throughout the year as you wish.
These networking events are designed for professional photographers of all genres, including (but not limited to):
- Wedding photographers
- Portrait & family photographers
- Commercial & brand photographers
- Wildlife, documentary and fine art photographers
Whether you’re early in your business or well-established, you’re welcome.
The only requirement is that you are running (or actively building) a photography business. These events are not designed for hobbyists or amateur photographers, as the focus is on marketing and business growth.
I also ask that everyone attends with a positive mindset and in the spirit of collaboration over competition. You may be networking alongside photographers working in similar niches, and the friendly, supportive vibe of these events is something I actively protect.
How often do the Dorset photography networking events take place?
In 2026, there will be 10 in-person networking events for Dorset photographers, all held in Poole.
- Events are usually held on the last Wednesday of the month
- Events are held every month, except August (summer break) and December (when we meet for an optional festive lunch instead)
- Each session runs for 2 hours (9–11am)
- Dates are shared in advance so you can plan ahead (more information here, including 2026 event dates)
Meeting regularly allows photographers to attend more consistently and get far more value from the community over time.
Venue details are confirmed when you book and may vary, but we always meet in Poole, Dorset.
What should you bring with you?
You’ll need money for transport or car parking, and for a coffee or drink of your choice.
Bring your camera along if you wish, but this is essentially a coffee date and a marketing-focused chat, not a photography event. There is no practical photography element to the event.
We usually meet for approximately 2 hours (9-11am), and if the weather and venue allow, we walk and talk before having a coffee somewhere on our route. (Venue details are confirmed when you book).
How can you attend these networking events for Dorset photographers?
You can take part in the Photo Marketing Community™ (Dorset) in two ways:
Pay-As-You-Go
Attend individual networking events for £12 per event (inc VAT).
This is ideal if you’d like to try a session first or attend occasionally.
Annual Membership
Join the community for £100 per year (inc VAT) and attend up to 10 networking events throughout 2026. This option offers the best value if you plan to attend regularly and would like consistent marketing support and accountability.
N.B. The annual membership option is only available until 27 January 2026 (the day before our first meet-up of the year)
