Networking Events For Dorset Photographers
Are you a professional photographer in Poole, Dorset (UK), or the surrounding areas? If so, I have an exciting opportunity for you to connect, collaborate, and grow your business.
My monthly informal networking events are designed specifically for Dorset photographers like you.
Hosted in Poole, these meet-ups offer a relaxed and informal opportunity to meet up with other photo professionals.
The idea is we all get out from behind our desks and interact in person. There’s the chance to meet new people, share ideas and experiences, discuss business and marketing strategies, and simply enjoy the company of fellow professionals who understand the unique challenges of the photography industry.
Why join an upcoming photography networking event?
As you’ll already know, networking is a vital component of a successful photography business. Yet, you may not have a local community that’s exclusively created for photographers, and that’s what this networking event is.
It’s a forum for making connections and building friendships within the industry, without needing to travel too far from your home or studio.
It’s also a chance to meet me (Zoe Hiljemark) and pick up PR and marketing tips and advice!
Networking for Dorset photographers
These events for photographers provide a space to:
1. Connect with other local professional photographers
Build relationships with local peers who can offer support, advice, and can potentially become a source of referals
2. Share knowledge and experience
We chat about photography marketing strategies, business growth, and the latest trends in photography
3. Get inspiration and insights on what’s working for others
Learn from others’ successes and challenges, and get inspired to try new approaches in your own photography business
4. Enjoy a friendly atmosphere
The events are informal and welcoming, making it easy to feel at home and open up about your business journey.
Who can attend?
Whether you specialise in weddings, portraits, wildlife, commercial, or any other type of photography, you are welcome to attend these Dorset photography events.
Attendees at previous events have included Dorset photographers from various backgrounds, but the commonality between everyone is that they are all eager to connect and support each other.
A pre-requisite for attending is that you must be a professional photographer, not a hobbyist or amateur. If that’s you, then the only other thing for me to mention is that you should please come with a positive mindset and attitude, and in the spirit of collaboration over competition.
You may well be attending alongside your local ‘competitors’, and the friendly and supportive vibe of these events is something I want to maintain and safeguard for the enjoyment of all.
What do you need to bring with you?
You’ll need money for transport or car parking, and for a coffee or drink of your choice.
Bring your camera along if you wish, but this is marketing-focused chat and not a photography event. There is no practical photography element to the event.
We usually meet for approximately 90 minutes, and if the weather and venue allow, we walk and talk.
Upcoming networking events for Dorset photographers
The meet-ups are usually held monthly, on the last Wednesday of every month, and we meet in central Poole. However, dates may change so the best thing to do is subscribe to stay in the loop (complete the form above) and you’ll receive updates by email about upcoming events.
I’d love for you to join us at the next one if you’re a photographer in the Poole, Bournemouth or Dorset areas, or in neighbouring towns or counties and are prepared to travel over!
