Creative Meets 2025 at Arts University Bournemouth
I was delighted to be invited to take part in the Arts University Bournemouth’s Creative Meets 2025 event — a two-day programme designed to connect students with industry professionals across the creative industries.
I met up with photography students at AUB to share practical insights and marketing advice tailored specifically to those hoping to build careers in photography.
We explored topics including self-promotion, building visibility, and how to start thinking like a brand — essential skills for emerging photographers hoping to stand out in a competitive market.
Careers support for aspiring photo professionals
The invitation came from AUB’s Careers Coach Kirsten Bryan-Brown, and I was honoured to contribute to an event at such a prestigious creative institution.
AUB is a leading specialist university in the UK for arts, design, media, and performance, and it was a real privilege to be able to support the next generation of image-makers as they prepare to launch their professional journeys.
As a former Bournemouth University student myself, returning to the campus — just next door to where I studied for my BA (Hons) Communications degree over twenty years ago — felt like a full-circle moment.
Supporting independent photographers is at the heart of what I do, and I’m always thrilled to be part of initiatives that help bridge the gap between education and the real world of creative business.
