The Best Photography Podcasts for Photographers (Updated for 2026)
Over the years, I’ve discovered lots of brilliant photography podcasts. I mainly love to listen to those with a focus on business and marketing (is that geeky of me?!), and I’ve been lucky enough to be an expert guest on several of my favourites.
During a recent interview with photographer Marcus Ahmad, a question he put to me was: “How many photography podcasts are out there?”. In truth, I didn’t know the answer to this, but knew that there were many. Right there and then, I made a mental note to research this so I could update you here on this blog.
In this article, I list some of my all-time favourite photography podcasts, plus some that photographers in my PR-Savvy Photographers community have recommended. In here, there are also photography podcasts I’ve yet to listen to, but have discovered in my research.
My aim in sharing this extended list of photography podcasts is to ensure that you have plenty of creative inspiration, marketing insights and solid business advice. Whatever aspect of photography you’re interested in, and whatever your photography niche, there’s something here for you.
Keep your photography podcast suggestions coming! If there’s a great show you think I should add to this list, get in touch — I’d love to hear your recommendations.
Recommended Photography Podcasts
1. Great Big Photography World Podcast
Host: Perrin Adams
Topics: Creative journey, trends, technique, business/artist stories
The Great Big Photography World podcast features interviews with notable photographers and industry experts. It focuses on the personal journeys and creative processes of the guests, as well as everything from the basics to the latest trends in photography.
With almost 250 episodes (at the time of writing in late 2025), the podcast features inspiring and successful photographers from diverse genres, sharing their stories, practical advice, tips, and secrets to help you improve your skills and get creative.
Through in-depth interviews, it explores the challenges they’ve faced, the breakthroughs they’ve had, and the passion that drives their work. This narrative approach teaches how to take great photos and create the mindset and discipline to succeed in professional photography.
I was interviewed by Perrin on the Great Big Photography World podcast about PR for photographers and the work I do in championing creatives and helping photographers unlock PR success.
2. Commercial Photographer (formerly Shoot To The Top)
Host: Sam Hollis and Marcus Ahmad
Topics: Marketing, business growth, editorial/creative marketing for professional commercial photographers

Created for professional commercial photographers, this UK-based show combines digital marketing insight (from Sam Hollis) with creative expertise (from Marcus Ahmad), and insights from industry experts. It covers a broad range of topics all geared towards helping photographers achieve success in their businesses.
I was featured on Commercial Photographer (formerly known as Shoot To The Top) in early 2024 — Sam, Marcus and I discussed how PR can help photographers grow their business and get featured in the media. Also, again on the 100th anniversary show, talking about the future of photography.
3. PhotoBizX
Host: Andrew Hellmich
Topics: Business, marketing, lead gen for wedding/portrait photographers
In this photography podcast, Australian host, Andrew Hellmich interviews some of the most successful photographers from around the world to “uncover the facts about running a wedding and portrait photography business for profit”.
I always find his podcast episodes interesting. He ensures that all his guests stick around for the interviews for a decent length of time, allowing him to ask lots of questions and extract all the nitty-gritty detail about the subject at hand.
The only downside of these in-depth interviews is that you may not have time to listen to them in full in one sitting. I tend to save these longer episodes for long car journeys or listen to them over a number of sittings.
Andrew restricts the full interviews to paid subscribers to his paid membership (which you can grab a month’s trial of for just $1). But even if you listen just to the free version of each episode, you’ll still get tons of value.
4. Shoot Edit Chat Repeat
Hosts: Vicki Knights and Eddie Judd
Topics: Portrait / people photography, interviews & listener Q&A
The award-winning Shoot Edit Chat Repeat podcast is no longer running, but there’s a huge archive of brilliant episodes still available. It’s lively, honest, and packed with advice and inspiration for “people” photographers.
I was delighted to be featured on the Shoot Edit Chat Repeat podcast myself, which was recorded as part of a live expert panel in London, and in front of an audience of 85 professional photographers. In it, I shared tips on becoming irresistible to your dream photography clients.
5. The Business of Photography
Host: Brian Caporicci
Topics: Business operations for photography — pricing, workflow, content strategy, marketing
Although no longer actively publishing, Canadian-based Brian Caporicci recorded almost 500 episodes, so there is an extensive back catalogue which you can dive into at any time.
They interview leading photographers from around the world. They also talk alone or together about topics relating to running a successful photography business.
Topics covered include how to create a content marketing plan, photography pricing mistakes, and how to create your ideal workflow.
6. Evolve Your Wedding Business
Host: Heidi Thompson
Topics: Marketing, SEO, mindset, lead gen, pricing, specifically for wedding photographers

This one is specifically for wedding photographers, as the name suggests. But much of the advice shared could also apply to other genres of photography.
There are over 280 episodes of the Evolve Your Wedding Business podcast to check out at the time of writing. Heidi interviews wedding photography experts and also offers solo training.
On this photography podcast, recent topics have included mastering Google Analytics, how to raise your prices, email marketing, the importance of mindset in business, and how to get more leads and enquiries.

Host: Matt Jacob
Topics: Photography, creativity, identity, and the inner life of artists
The MOOD Podcast is a long-form conversation series that moves beyond technique and trends to examine why people make work, how creative voices are formed, and what it takes to sustain a meaningful artistic life.
Through thoughtful, unhurried conversations with photographers, filmmakers, and creative thinkers from around the world, the podcast explores themes of process, mental health, ethics, purpose, legacy, and the tension between art and industry. Episodes are grounded, reflective, and often philosophical, offering listeners provocation of thought rather than formulaic answers to copy.
The MOOD Podcast is less about instruction and more about understanding, aimed at emerging and established creatives who care not just about what they make, but why they make it.
At its core, The MOOD Podcast is the art of conversation, one frame at a time.
Find it on Apple, Spotify and YouTube.
9. Mastering Portrait Photography
Host: Paul Wilkinson
Topics: Portrait techniques, business/industry insight
Paul Wilkinson’s podcast episodes are part technical, part motivational, and always entertaining. His candid insights into the life and business of a working portrait photographer make this a relatable listen.
This photography podcast features “tales, techniques, tricks and tantrums from one of the UK‘s top portrait photographers. Never just about photography but always about things that excite – or annoy – me as a full-time professional photographer – from histograms to history, from apertures to apathy, from motivation to megapixels. Essentially anything that might be useful if you‘re a portrait artist.”
10. Worth Every Penny Joycast
Host: Sarah Petty
Topics: Pricing, marketing, selling for portrait photographers
The Worth Every Penny Joycast is hosted by photographer and author, Sarah Petty. In each episode, she shares pricing tips, marketing ideas, selling tips and gives insights into what’s working now.
It’s a hugely inspiring and motivational podcast, aimed at helping portrait photographers realise that “you’re worth every penny.”

PRTip: Pitching Yourself as a Guest
Many of the podcasts above welcome pitches from photographers who have valuable expertise or stories to share.
If you’re a photographer with a unique business journey, marketing insight, or creative process to talk about, these shows can be excellent PR opportunities. Craft a short, compelling pitch that explains:
- Who you are and what you do
- The topic you can discuss (make it educational for their audience)
- Why it would benefit their listeners
This is an often-overlooked but powerful way to build visibility, backlinks, and authority in the photography industry.
